Abstract

This study aims to determine how the student activity after application of active learning model of type Student Facilitator and Explaining. This research is using descriptive method. This research was conducted in SMP N 1 Cigeulis. Samples were students of class VIII  totaling 26 students. Collecting data in this study using observation sheet. After the data obtained and analyzed using the technique Description percentage. The results of this study concluded that the application of active learning model types Explaining Student Facilitator and can increase the activity of students in junior high school 1 C. It is seen from the observation of student activities, at the first meeting of the average student activity amounted to 54.26% and increased in the second meeting became 73.02% later on increased to a good third meeting once with a percentage of 81.24%.
