Penerapan Model Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas Viii Mts Mathlabul Falah Labuan
Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to determine the application of the Discovery Learning learning model to improving students' conceptual understanding of cube and beam volume material. This type of research is quasi-experimental.. In this study, the pretest with conventional methods then posttest using the Discovery Learning learning model. In this model, students are expected to be able to understand the study of material that is abstract in nature, so that it can help students understand a concept. Understanding the concept is the ability to understand, interpret, identify, and be able to explain the concept in detail. By implementing group investigation learning methods the ability to understand students' concepts will increase. The method in this study uses the Quasi Experiment method and the normality test using the reliability test. Based on the calculation results of the data from the experimental group, the L value = | F (Zi) - S (Zi) | the biggest is 0.1568. While based on the table of critical values of the Lilliefors test at a significance level of 5% with sample size n = 25 is 0.173. Because Lhitung<Ltabel then H0 is accepted which means that the frequency distribution of the data being tested is normal.
