PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBING PROMPTING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS DITINJAU DARI SELF EFFICACY SISWA SMP

Abstract

Ayu Octavia (2024). Application of the probing prompting learning model to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of self-efficacy of students at SMP Negeri 1 Banjarsari. This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to understand concepts in terms of self-efficacy between students who receive probing prompting learning models and students who receive conventional learning models. The research method used is Quasi Experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was class 8.G as the experimental class and class 8.F as the control class. The results after conducting a T-test using a non-parametric test (mann-whitney test), it was concluded that the mathematical concept understanding ability of students who received learning using the probing prompting model in terms of self-efficacy was better than the mathematical concept understanding ability of students who used conventional learning models. There are two final conclusions from the results of the two-way ANOVA test, that is 1) There is an increase in the mathematical concept understanding ability of students using the Probing Prompting learning model. 2) There is a difference in the mathematical concept understanding ability between students who have high, medium, and low self-efficacy.
